EDIT 8/3/11: A deviant warned me that the image of this plushie was stolen and being sold on a website called Listia. If you see this image anywhere other than DeviantART, be warned that it is NOT MINE. It was stolen by a scammer and a thief.
This is my project for the Red Horse charity silent auction this year! The proceeds from the auction go to We Can Ride, a therapeutic horseback riding and driving organization.
I'm really happy with how he turned out! My mom inspired me to put the My Little Pony-like heart on his hindquarters--I decided to go with that idea so he wouldn't look like a red-and-black devil horse or something. XD The "WCR" on the heart stands for We Can Ride, of course. He was made with a kind of faux-fur fabric and fleece for the mane, tail, hooves, and heart. The eyes are buttons and I used acrylic paint for the letters. Like my Axel plushie [link] , I didn't have a pattern to work from, so I made up my own as I went along.
Mom's joking that I will be the one to buy him back instead of letting someone else have him! It's tempting, but I think I will just end up making my own sometime.

Thank you for the pattern and inspiration. I helped my son make over this Christmas for his girlfriend who loves horses. A little difficult to upscale but I think it came out proportionate. Used yarn for the tail and mane and my son put the heart inside of the horse.
